A realtime people counting demonstration at Ritsumeikan University campus

We joint with EDGEMATRIX Inc. to start a demonstration of real-time people counting at Ritsumeikan university's Kusatsu campus.

The people counting system is one of tiwaki applications on EdgeMatrix's Edge AI platform, which is able to real-time count number of people passing a user specific border line.

The AI computing of the system is running on a local edge box(Jetson Nano) and only counting result is uploaded to cloud. Such system structure makes our system privacy-free and flexible to be applied to variety of smart city services.
